Automatic assessment FootPad Dermatitis (FPD)

This facthseet, describes the advantages and disadvantages of the use of automatic evaluation systems for scoring FootPad Dermatitis (a highly relevant animal-based welfare indicator). 

This system works through visual analysis based on images taken by cameras, installed at the end of the slaughter line, to assign a score to the feet according to the chosen grading scheme.
