BAIHA: Addressing Sex and Gender Bias in AI for Healthcare Applications

The Bias in AI-Health Applications initiative (BAIHA) is a proposal to address sex and gender bias in AI healthcare solutions with the ultimate goal of ensuring that decisions based on these tools are fair, unbiased, and reliable. BAIHA project aims to bring together a transdisciplinary community of experts in biomedicine, AI, healthcare, ethics, legal issues and bias in order to establish standardized quality indicators and evaluation metrics to validate healthcare solutions based on these fundamental aspects.
