Description

This repo hosts materials related to a workshop given on 26 September 2024 as part of the 11th Heidelberg Laureate Forum, where early-stage researchers from mathematics and computer science meet with recipients of major prizes in their fields (e.g. Fields Medal, Abel Prize, Turing Award).

Title:

Open science and reproducibility

Abstract:

In this interactive “bring your own data”-workshop, we discuss modern mathematical research along its data life cycle: from the first conception of an idea to its publication and reuse. In particular, we look at the role of open science and collaboration in mathematics, the role of research data and how we organize, document, and publish. We then look at your very own mathematics, consider its reproducibility, and together derive lessons in best practice.
