Introduction to Research Data Management (RDM)

The presentation was created for the NFDI-MatWerk Summer School 2024. The content provides a broad overview of research data management (RDM). The aim was to foster an understanding of the media development in knowledge management and data management. Furthermore, the FAIR principles, the data lifecycle, and specific tools that cover the data lifecycle are introduced, including metadata management. Additionally, NFDI and NFDI-MatWerk are presented to raise awareness and understanding of the consortium's work within the Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) community.
