Psychosocial and behavioral adaptation strategies in dialysis patients

Abstract

Chronic disease affects multiple aspects of the patient's life, causing fear of eventual addiction, disability and death. In this article, psycho-social and behavioral adaptation strategies for dialysis patients are described, as well as the authors' conceptions with reference to the need for a multidisciplinary approach.
