Description

Wetlands have a crucial role as carbon (C) pools. Current wetland degradation negatively impacts their capacity to store carbon and could transform them into strong carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) sources. This investigation aims to determine the dependence of carbon fluxes (CO2 and CH4) on environmental variables such as salinity and dissolved oxygen concentration, focusing on the study site of Bosco della Mesola in the Po Delta park.
