Description

Data and R code to accompany paper "A solution for constraining past marine Polar Amplification" by Morley and co-authors 2024. For reproducing temperature relationships and uncertainties.

by Morley, A., de la Vega, E., Raitzsch, M., Bijma, J., Ninnemann, U., Foster, G.L., Chalk, T.B., Meilland, J., Cave, R.R., Büscher, J. V., and Kucera, M.

The codes serve to generate figures, relationship and confidence intervals for the calibration of high latitude foraminiferal Mg/Ca (and d18O) to sea surface temperature. The script uses data from N. pachyderma and N. incompta as well as in situ conditions of temperature and carbon ion concentration to calculate temperatures.

Scripts written by Chalk, T.B.

DATA

  1. dc_CO3.csv
  2. mg_CO3.csv
  3. incompta_temp_mg_ca.csv

CODE

  1. Morley24_calibration.R : Reads the data and prepares figures and outputs.
