Description

The data for modelling SFT process used in "Ensemble Kalman Filter Data Assimilation Into Surface Flux Transport Model To Infer Surface Flows: An Observing System Simulation Experiment".

BMR properties are extracted from SDO/HMI "hmi.sharp_cea_720s" data series. These are the BMR source term properties, used to model idealized BMRs for driving the surface flux transport model. 

File description:

* bipole_file/all_bmrs.txt

Different columns of the BMR file contains the following variables in order:
1. Latitude of the BMR
2. Longitude of the BMR
3. Separation between the polarities of the BMR
4. Tilt of the BMR
5. Total Unsigned flux of the BMR
6. Time of appearance in fractional years
7. Phase of the BMR i.e. in days since the start of the simulation
8. SHARP number of the BMR

Surface radial magnetic field distribution for Carrington Rotation 2097 interpolated to 180*360 grid for input into SFT1D model.
