Bayesian analysis of the equation of state of quantum chromodynamics from a holographic model
Authors/Creators
Description
Prior and posterior samples obtained from a Bayesian analysis of the equation of state of quantum chromodynamics (QCD) within a holographic Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton model, constrained by state-of-the art lattice QCD results at a vanishing net density of baryons.
Samples contain metadata, model parameters, and model predictions for the location of the QCD critical point.
Supplement to arXiv:2309.00579.

Contents
The present samples are divided into two HDF5 files:
- Bayesian_parametric_muses.hdf5 - Bayesian samples within the parametric ansatz (PA) for the holographic potentials of the Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton model.
- Bayesian_polyhyper_muses.hdf5 - Bayesian samples within the polynomial-hyperbolic ansatz (PHA) for the holographic potentials of the Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton model.

Prior and posterior samples
Each of the HDF5 above files is separated into two HDF5 groups:
- 'posterior_samples' - for samples of the posterior distribution of parameters.
- 'prior_samples' - for samples of the prior distribution of parameters.
Bayesian samples
The above groups contain subgroups 'sample*', for each of the different samples.
Each sample contains attributes with the relevant metadata:
- 'log_likelihood' - The logarithm of the likelihood for the corresponding set of parameters.
- 'correlation_gamma' - The corresponding value of the correlation strength hyperparameter 'Gamma' used to compute the likelihood.
- 'model_variant' - The corresponding variant of the model. ('muses_parametric' or 'muses_polyhyperbolic')
- 'time' - Date and time when the sample was created.
as well as the following HDF5 subgroups:
- 'parameters', which contains the parameters of the model saved as attributes.
- 'critical_point', which contains of the temperature ('Tc_in_MeV') and chemical potential ('muc_in_MeV') of the critical point predicted for each sample, together with the corresponding error estimation ('err_*_in_MeV') and the execution status of the critical point calculation ('status').
and a HDF5 dataset containing the equation of state predicted from the corresponding set of parameters at vanishing baryon chemical potential, containing temperature ('T [MeV]') and entropy density ('s [MeV^3]'), as well as other quantities.
