Prevalence of Mental Health in Relation to Religious Practices in A Contemporary Small-scale Older Amdo Tibetans

Description

This dataset includes survey and wearable device data collected from elderly Amdo Tibetans in 2023. The study explores the relationship between religious participation (such as prayer, kowtow, and pilgrimage) and both physical and mental health outcomes. Data were collected through household interviews and wearable wristbands to provide objective measures of physical activity. Participants with a history of mental health issues were excluded. The dataset provides insights into the health impacts of religious practices in a rural, subsistence-based lifestyle.
