Social Networks and Prosopography of 12th-Century Byzantium
Description
This dissertation aims to reconstruct and analyze the social networks of 12th-century Byzantium, approximately from the reign of Manuel I Komnenos to the Latin capture of Constantinople (1143-1204), and conduct a prosopographical study of its members using the extant letters of contemporary authors as primary sources.
