Description

This data collection includes a manually curated library of transposable elements (TEs) for Drosophila amaguana, composed of 737 consensus sequences obtained using the MCHelper tool with de novo libraries generated by EDTA (Extensive de novo TE Annotator) and RepeatModeler. It also contains the TE annotation file derived from the assembled genome, which was generated with the OneCodeToFindThemAll program to defragment the copies after genome annotation with RepeatMasker.

The identifier for each sequence in the FASTA file contains information about its classification.

  • For sequences corresponding to potentially new families: A three-letter abbreviation for D. amaguana (Dama), followed by the new family identifier and the superfamily name, all separated by underscores. For example: Dama_NF_BELPAO_1.
  • For consensus sequences that show similarity to TE sequences previously reported in other species: A three-letter abbreviation for D. amaguana (Dama), followed by the superfamily name and an abbreviation for the corresponding species where the TE was reported, all separated by underscores. For example: Dama_Helitron-1_DVir.
