Genus Physiphora Fallén, 1810: 11

Type-species: Chrysomyza splendida Fallén, 1817 by subs. mon. in Fallén 1817: 3 (= Musca alceae Preyssler, 1791).

= Chrysomyza Fallén, 1817: 3 (nom. nov. for Physiphora Fallén, wrongly assumed preocc. by Physsophora Forsskål, 1775 in Hydrozoa, in Forsskål & Niebuhr, 1775: 119). Type species: Chrysomyza splendida Fallén, 1817 by mon. (= Musca alceae Preyssler, 1791. Refs.: Hendel, 1910: 11 (in key), 19–21 (diag.).

= Cliochloria Enderlein, 1927: 103. Type species: Musca aenea Fabricius, 1794 (not Musca aenea Scopoli, 1763) by orig. des. (= Ulidia clausa Macquart, 1844). Refs.: Séguy, 1941: 115 (in key).
