Type materials examined. 1 male (holotype), “ Yona, Kunigami Son, Okinawa Pref., 5Apr. 1990, Coll.Y. Okushima ” (EUMJ); 1 female (allotype), “ Yona, Kunigami Son, Okinawa Pref., 15 Apr. 1991, Y. Okushima leg.” (EUMJ); 1 male, 1 female (paratypes), same data (KURA); 1 male (paratype), same data but “ H. Kojima leg.” (KURA).

Additional materials examined. 1 male, “ Hiji-Ôtaki, Okinawa, 19-IV-1994, M. Kawanabe ” (EUMJ); 1 male, 1 female, “ ṗäḁ国DZť与ª, JAPAN: OKINAWA, Kunigami-son, Yona, 3-VI-2010, Haruki Suenaga leg. / It is highly likely that the correct date of collection is “ 3. IV. 2010 ” (H. Suenaga, personal communication on 27. IV. 2024), labeled by R. Nakamura, 2024” (KURA); 1 male, “ Komi, Ryukyus, Iriomote-jima, 12-II-1998, M. Kimura leg.” (EUMJ).

Supplementary description. Male sternite IX (fig. 9D) cymbiform, slightly shorter than tergite IX, 2.68 times longer than wide, lateral margins parallel in the middle, gradually narrowing in apical 1/3 to form a round tip.

Distribution. Japan (Ryukyu: Okinawa Island and Iriomote Island) (fig. 11).

Biology. This species can be caught by sweeping green leaves in the primitive broad-leaved forest (Okushima, 2005). Adults are collected in April in Okinawa Island and the only collecting record from Iriomote Island was in February.

Note. This species is placed in the Lycocerus aegrotus subgroup of the L. aegrotus group by Okushima (2005).
