Description
Adiantum tinctum T.Moore, Gard. Chron. 1862: 932. 1862.
Range: — Ecuador to Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology: —Uncommon, terrestrial in montane forests; 2600–3100 m.
Notes: —Most closely related and similar to A. orbignyanum and A. raddianum (Sundue et al. 2010, Hirai et al. 2016), and agreeing in many characters with those species. Rhizomes short-to long-creeping, nodose, scales linear-lanceolate, margins sparsely denticulate; pinnules entire or sometimes shortly incised on distal margins, obovate to rhombic, with stalks 1–2 mm long.
