Asplenium resiliens Kunze, Linnaea 18: 331. 1844.
Range:— Jamaica; Hispaniola; southern USA to Argentina and Brazil. In Bolivia, in CO, LP, and SC.
Ecology:— Uncommon; saxicolous, rarely terrestrial, on rocks, ledges, and in crevices of rock faces, in humid and semihumid forest habitats; 1700–3500 m (down to 1200 m elsewhere).
Notes:— Differs from A. monanthes by lacking hydathodes, having thicker blade texture, sori distributed on both sides of the costae, and by the whitish wings on the adaxial side of the rachises. More closely related to A. lilloanum, which see for comments.
