FIGURE 3. Habitat and leaves of Rhyncholacis paulana. A. The small river (Igarapé do Torrão) where the species occurs showing the disturbed nature of the habitat, new bridge (BR 156) in background and foundation of old bridge in foreground. Died-back plants of R. paulana are evident along margins of river. B. Three complete leaves of R. paulana; upper and lower leaves are mature, small middle leaf is immature (scale = 5 cm).
