Shrubs or epiphytic trees. Distribution in PILA 300–2200 m, low elevation mixed forest, mixed forest in transition to low elevation forest, mixed forest in transition to cloud forest, cloud forest, low elevation oak forest. Global distribution: Costa Rica, Panama. Records: A.K. Monro 4455 (BM, INB), A. Rodríguez 11017 (BM, INB, MO, PMA), G. Herrera 2676 (MO).
