Alcotán, Jalapatrás, Santo Domingo (CR).
Terrestrial shrubs. Distribution in PILA 1100–1700 m, mixed forest in transition to low elevation forest, mixed forest in transition to cloud forest. Global distribution: Mexico to Argentina. Records: A.K. Monro 4282 (BM, MO), A. Rodríguez 10306 (INB), D. Solano 4444 (BM, INB, MO, PMA), G. Herrera 6119 (INB, MO).
