Description
28. Cyathea abbreviata Fernandes (2000: 193). Type:— BRAZIL. Pernambuco: Mun. de São Vicente Ferrer, March 1999, I. Fernandes 1404 (holotype JPB n.v., isotypes SPF-00145000!, PACA-AGP 85611!, PARA n.v.).
Distribution and habitat: — Brazil in the Estados Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, and Pernambuco, in closed forest remnants, usually close to water, at 480– 920 m.
