Schizachyrium condensatum (Kunth) Nees (Figs. 1A–C, 2A–B).
Type:— COLOMBIA. Tolima, regni novogranatensis, prope Ibague & Valle de Carabajal, October, Humboldt & Bonpland s.n. (holotype P!, isotype US! [fragm. ex P]).
