  • In a recently published article entitled Pterolepis haplostemona (Melastomataceae): a new serpentine endemic from Goias, Brazil (Phytotaxa 201 (3): 233-238. 2015) an error in line 1 of the Figure caption on page 235 appeared in print that is in need of correction. B. Cauline leaf (abaxial surface) should be changed to B. Cauline leaf (adaxial surface). In Pterolepis haplostemona only the trichomes on the adaxial foliar surfaces are basally adnate to the epidermis for about 0.25 mm as depicted in the illustration. This was missed by editorial staff after correction was requested by the authors.
