Centaurea myriotoma Visiani & Pančić (1865: 470) (Fig. 5)
Lectotype (designated here):— SERBIA. Am Vukan in Kr. Požarevac. Jul [io] 1861. J. Pančić s. n. (BEOU-10790!).
Note:—The specimen selected here as lectoype is, as far as we know, the only one with information on locality and date of collecting that are compatible with the data provided in the protologue. The name is now generally regarded as a synonym of Centaurea triniifolia Heuffler (1858) (Euro+Med 2015, Niketić 2014), and is sometimes incorrectly reported as “ Centaurea myriostoma ” (e.g. in IPNI 2015).
