Description.

Paton et al. (2009: 297), Paton et al. (2013: 246), as Plectranthus defoliatus Hochst. ex Benth.

Distribution.

Eritrea to S Tropical Africa.

Habitat and ecology.

Savannah, steppe, riparian forest; 1600–2300 m elev.
