POETRY COLLECTIONS BY VASYL DENYSIUK "[TY CHY-Y-A]", "AMANTES – AMENTES", "ALEA IACTA EST": PECULIARITIES OF POETICS

The article explores the artistic world of Vasyl Denysiuk’s lyrics in such collections as “[TY CHY-Y-A]”, “Amantes – amentes”, and “Alea iacta est”. At the beginning the authors consider the semantics of the collections’ titles. It is stated that the proposed titles are intended for an intellectual reader as the first is presented in phonetic 
transcription, others are Latin titles. “[TY CHY-Y-A]” conceals three questions that are usually essential for lovers: “Whose is he? Whose is she? You or me?”. The title of the second poetic collection is a phraseological unit “Amantes – amentes”, which means “Lovers are crazy people”. “Alea iacta est” is a famous expression of Julius 
Caesar, which means “the die is cast”. The study analyses the thematic range of the poems included in the collections. It has been found that the vast 
majority of the author’s poems are intimate lyrics and that the peculiarities of the author’s individual style are quite clearly traced in the civic lyrics. The landscape lyrics are distinguished by originality because they are written by an intellectual linguist.
The study has shown that Vasyl Denysiuk employs phraseological units to create his literary texts. He uses them not only in the form of constant linguistic units, but also modifies them. This fact allows defining them as a characteristic feature of his individual style. The author’s most common intellectual technique is the reception of ancient mythology. The author employs the images of Laoocon, Phoebus, Lel, Hades, Persephone, Hesiod, Zeus, and Leda, providing vivid allusions to ancient stories. Vasyl Denysiuk’s “female” poetry is also an interesting artistic method that allows a male author to understand the psychology of a woman. The study pays special attention to the analysis of poems written on behalf of a woman, which is an original artistic practice of the poet. In the collection “Amantes – amentes” such poems are presented as monologues-confessions of both the lyrical heroine and the lyrical hero. Certain gender stereotypes can also be traced in Vasyl Denysiuk’s works. The study highlights that the essential feature of the collection texts is intellectuality, which proves the author to be a prominent linguist.
