Description

Scientific projects seldom articulate their own mission statements, as it is often presumed that many of the normative and ethical guiding principles for project implementation are already known, internalized, or covered by existing guidelines, such as those of the respective institutions or good scientific practice protocols.

Nevertheless, the partners in the WiNoDa project made a deliberate decision to formulate their own mission statement. This was done to ensure an overarching shared understanding for both the project and the community involved.

The mission statement was collaboratively developed through an iterative process, involving representatives from all WiNoDa partner institutions.
