Shetland port & supply chain capabilities for Floating Wind

Description

The purpose of this report is to concisely set out information on Shetland’s port and supply chain
capabilities in relation to future floating offshore wind projects in the region. The information
presented has been collated from a variety of relevant stakeholders and is intended to provide initial
information to the developer, prospective partners, and suppliers to ESB’s Stoura project. The
Stoura Offshore Wind Farm project is in early-stage development approximately 40km off the East
coast of Shetland (Figure 1), spanning over 100km2 and set to produce 500MW of clean electricity.
