Extensiones Al Modelo De Segregación De Schelling: Impacto Del Costo De Mudanza
Description
Abstract (English)
In the classical Schelling model (1), when an individual feels dissatisfied with the number of unwanted “neighbors”, he simply moves to another free location, but this has a restriction associated with the density of the city.
On the other hand, it is assumed that in real life a move has many associated costs.
For this reason, it is proposed to modify the model and extend it
considering that each agent starts with a number of monetary units (capital C), and that after each unit of time each agent manages to save a certain number of monetary units (savings A). If at a certain moment he feels dissatisfied and has a capital greater than or equal to the cost of the move Cm (move), then he can move to one of the free locations, otherwise he cannot do so, which will imply that in the next step he may or may not be dissatisfied, depending on what has happened with his neighbors.
