Description
Global Groundwater Recharge Model v1.0
Overview
This is the first release (v1.0) of the Global Groundwater Recharge Model (GGR). It is a three-layer transient water balance model for estimating the daily diffuse rain-fed global groundwater recharge at a spatial resolution of 0.1°.
Features
- Comprehensive data integration: Combines multiple data sources including precipitation, total evapotranspiration and soil property data.
- Scalability: Designed to handle large data sets, making it suitable for global applications.
- Documentation: For more information about the GGR model, users are referred to the README file and Nazari et al. (2024) "Spatiotemporal dynamics of global groundwater recharge from 2001 to 2020". Journal of Hydrology
Installation
To install and set up the Global Groundwater Recharge Model, follow the instructions in the README file.
