Description

Mallotus resinosus Merrill (1918: 222)

Mallotus muricatus (Wight) Müller Argoviensis (1865: 191); Fawcett (1885: 517).

Ecology: locally in understorey of mixed evergreen deciduous, secondary and notophyll vine forest and grassland; near roads, near streams and sea; on clay, granite, loam, limestone, sandstone or volcanic soil; elevation: sea level up to 1000 m (Sierra et al. 2007).

Distribution: S India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam,Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Java, Borneo, Philippines, Sulawesi, Lesser Sunda Islands, Moluccas, Papua New Guinea, Australia (Sierra et al. 2007).
