Description

Genus Scolopendra Linnaeus, 1758

Type species. Scolopendra morsitans Linnaeus, 1758 (by ruling of the ICZN, 1957, Opinion 454).

Diagnosis. See Schileyko et al. (2020: 28).

Number of species. About 90 species.

Range. All tropical, subtropical and warm temperate regions.
