Description

This repository contains the atmospheric models presented in our paper working to incorporate CARMA microphysical water cloud features into the parameterized EddySed model.

5 main directories are organized by the subsections in the paper:

1. Supersaturation: supersaturation.zip

2. Variable fsed and cloud base falloff: variable_fsed.zip

3. Cloud condensation nuclei limitations: CCN.zip

4. Latent heat release: latent_heat.zip

5. CARMA microphysical growth/loss rates: carma_growthrates.zip

Please use the README.txt in each root directory for details on the individual files included in the directory. As an overview, there are 4 types of files in these directories:

EGP Atmosphere Files (.atm)

  • Plain text files containing the pressure-temperature and chemical profiles of the atmospheric models

EGP Cloud Profiles (.cld)

  • Files detailing the optical properties of the water-ice cloud for each profile
  • Formatted for direct use in PICASO to generate spectra

CARMA Cloud Profiles (.txt)

  • Files containing the optical properties of the water-ice CARMA clouds with the same format as the EGP cloud profiles

CARMA Growth/Loss Rates (.txt)

  • Files including the microphysically derived cloud growth and loss rates
