The NIH's Generalist Repository Ecosystem Initiative (GREI) brings together research infrastructure providers to build best practice for common open science use cases. This talk explored the GREI project's foundational strategies, its alignment with the principles of open science, and its mandate to facilitate community consensus building within scholarly communication. This session also provided insights into how these practices can serve as a blueprint for future collaborative endeavors.

Objectives

  • Review the core components of the GREI project and their implications for research infrastructure.

  • Discuss the GREI’s integration of open science principles and its role in enhancing research transparency and reproducibility.

  • Showcase successful case studies from the GREI project, highlighting collaborative efforts and outcomes.
