Purpose: To find out the main factors (styles, theories, creativity of individual architects and their associations) that influenced the creation of the creative credo of architect AV Dobrovolsky. Conclusions The formation of the creative skill of the architect A.V. Dobrovolsky developed under the influence of the leading directions in the architecture of Ukraine at the beginning of the twentieth century. The main factor that directly influenced the figurative solution of the objects of the architectural heritage of the artist is the desire of the architect to comprehensively study and implement the images of the national Ukrainian architecture.An important prerequisite for the development of A.V. Dobrovolsky's creative views was the experience of teachers and colleagues who defended national orientations, embodying the idea of using the synthesis of arts in architecture. The greatest influence was made by the masters of the Kyiv Architectural School: a partial appeal to constructivism (studying at J. Y. Karakis), the use of elements of folk architecture (work with MV Khosostank), the Ukrainian baroque (the work of DM Dyachenko), the use of new construction materials, and the synthesis of arts (the introduction of PF Aleshin).
