Material examined: see Vikhrev (2014; 2020).

Distribution. Africa: Canary; Cape Verde; Egypt; Ethiopia (Amhara and Oromia); Morocco; Sudan; Yemen. Also Palaearctic: from Europe to Central Asia; Oriental: N India. The record from South Africa (Pont 1980) most probably is misidentification of Afrotropical L. triangularis Vikhrev, 2014. For a related form from Reunion Island of an uncertain taxonomic status see L. martirei in Addendum.
