Description
Bank is a licensed financial institution whose business is related to receiving deposits and making loans
or financing. The Bank of Babylon was the world's first bank to be recorded and it was founded in 18th-century BC
in ancient Mesopotamia. As of right now, there are 44,000 credit unions and banks worldwide. Approximately the
number of banks keeps increasing, offering various types of products and services either locally or internationally.
The development of the banking industry has opened the door to job vacancies and educational opportunities. Thus,
the demand for experts in this area is crucial. However, there are difficulties in understanding the concepts and
terms in banking studies. Thus, this innovation aims to assist learners as well as those who are interested in learning
more about banking areas. The innovation is using crossword puzzles named i-BanCross to simplify concepts and
terms in the banking area. The distinctive feature of i-BanCross is that students are compelled to actively memorize
and apply banking concepts and terms through crossword puzzles, as opposed to reading or listening passively.
Learners’ memorization and understanding can be strengthened by using this innovation. The innovation is able to
be commercialized to students in banking studies, practitioners, and those who are interested in learning more about
banking.
