Oil Palm Loose Fruit Picker

Aiming at the problem of workers’ efficiency, time consuming in collecting the oil palm loose fruits and
accumulation of debris that may reduce the quality of loose fruit for its oil extraction rate (OER), an oil palm loose
fruit picker was innovated. To meet precise collection of oil palm loose fruit and maintaining the oil quality, the loose
fruit picker is designed for only targeting the loose fruit. The lightweight and convenient use of oil palm loose fruit
picker is innovated for the collection of loose fruit in oil palm plantation. The tool only targets the collection of loose
fruit, minimizing the accumulation of other unwanted plant or soil debris. The use of rubber strip minimizes the
physical damage on loose fruit that is crucial for maintaining the oil quality. This tool has a capacity of storing 30 –
40 loose fruits at one time, thus increasing the efficiency of collecting operation. With this tool, the efficiency and
productivity of workers in collecting the loose fruit can be increased. Precision aids in reducing post-harvest
processing time and improving the quality of the collected fruits.
