Saberes dos povos indígenas, etnoconhecimentos e currículos escolares na Amazônia: tecituras de uma Escrita Coletiva Intercultural

Description

This work focuses on education among the Munduruku people, whose communities/villages are located in the Amazon region of Brazil. We present various elements of their cultural traditions, way of life, challenges faced, and future prospects for this ethnic group in relation to ethno-knowledge in the school curriculum. The aim is to engage in collective reflections on indigenous knowledge and ethno-knowledge, considering the set of knowledge, skills, and practices developed by the Munduruku over generations, which need to be ensured in the school curricula of their schools. By incorporating ethno-knowledge into the school curricula of the Amazon, educational institutions recognize the importance of these local knowledge systems, promoting a more inclusive and culturally sensitive education for the educational projects of each indigenous community. The methodological procedures were guided by the practice of Collective Writing, serving as a collaborative process in creating this text. The development involved the active participation of Munduruku authors, each contributing their ideas, knowledge, and perspectives to enrich this Amazonian production.
