Description

The Helmholtz Metadata Collaboration (HMC) was established by the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres with the objective of enhancing connectivity within its distributed research data ecosystem.
The HMC Hub Matter initiative is specifically designed to promote the adoption of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) practices within the Matter research domain. This field encompasses particle physics, astro-particle physics, plasma physics, accelerator and detector system technology, and user programs for large-scale research facilities involving photons, neutrons, and ion beams.
The activities of HMC Hub Matter include the provision of guidance, the collection of quality metrics, benchmarking, the development of use cases, and the building of capacity within the community.
