  • 1. Area Science Park

Description

Open Science is about increased transparency, re-use, participation, cooperation, accountability, and reproducibility for research. It aims to improve the quality and reliability of research through principles like inclusion, fairness, equity, and sharing. Open Science can be viewed as research simply done properly, and it extends across the Life and Physical Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, Social Sciences, and Humanities (Open and Responsible Research).

The Course in "Open Science and FAIR data" is composed by four lessons. It will cover information and tools to implement Open Access, Open Data and FAIR data Management.

It is part of the 2024 training offer in the curricula of the PHD in Nanotechnology at the University of Trieste.

Objectives: On successful completion of these four modules students should have their own understanding on what can be open science, regarding the FAIR principles in Research Data Management, and to be able to find support documentation and tools regarding open science practices.
