EDIT: This version of the code was developed under Ubuntu 20.04. If you are interested in running the code on Ubuntu 24.04 or Ubuntu 22.04, we have created a new release (Release 3.0) that also offers installation instructions for these operating systems.
The second release of the scripts used in the numerical evaluation of the Local Subtraction Approach for EEG and MEG forward modeling. This approach is introduced and investigated in the accompanying paper (Published in SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing: https://epubs.siam.org/doi/full/10.1137/23M1582874).
In the second release, we added scripts for the evaluation of the local subtraction approach in realistic head models. Furthermore, we updated the parameters for the evaluation of the local subtraction approach in multilayer sphere models. Additionally, we renamed the approach from "Localized Subtraction" to "Local Subtraction".
This repository contains only the code to reproduce the results from the paper mentioned above. The data is available at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.12575552.
