= Hyponomeuta padi Zeller, 1844: 225 [unnecessary replacement name for Phalaena Tinea evonymella Linnaeus]
= Phaloena eronymella Pathania and Rose, 2003 [sic]: 529, 530. [misspelling of evonymella]
Distribution. Indian records: Western Himalaya region. Global records: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Sicily, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, [former] Yugoslavia.
Remark. The report of species from Indian Himalayan region by Pathania & Rose (2003) needs further confirmation.
