Description
The aim of this research is to measure ethanol levels and determine the suitability of the results of the non-standard analysis method developed. Determination of ethanol content was carried out at the Jakarta Class 1 Applied Chemistry and Excise Goods Laboratory using gas chromatography with parameters of linearity, precision, accuracy, limit of detection (LOD) and limit of ethanol content. Quantification (LOQ) and estimation of measurement uncertainty. The ethanol content was measured using gas chromatography at the Applied Chemistry Research Institute and was found to be 0.0888%. 0.0909%; 0.0762%; 0.0672%; 0.0707, an average of 0.0787%, the ethanol content value obtained by the Customs and Excise Department was 0.0881%. 0.0851%; 0.0901%; 0.0893%; and 0.0882 – the average is 0.0882%. Meanwhile, the ethanol content in the sample packaging was 19%. From these results it can be concluded that the results of determining the value of ethanol content using gas chromatography are not good. The estimated uncertainty in measuring ethanol content using gas chromatography at the Institute of Applied Chemistry is 0.0787 ± 0.0007, and the estimated uncertainty at the Institute of Customs and Excise is 0.0882 ± 0.0007.
