Nonlinear behavior of some hydrostatically stressed isotropic elastomeric foams

SummaryWe calculate the stress-strain relation for elastomeric foam from anab initio theory, which shows that the "plateau" and "densification" regions should be described by a hyperbola. The theory seems to agree reasonably well with experiment.
