Traces of pronouns which may be related to Bandjalang (Eastern Australia) 2sg wudya 'you' and some remarks on northern pronouns

The Yugambeh‒Bundjalung language contains the peculiar second person singular form wudja, wahlu, wiya and other case forms. No trace of the roots *ngin or *nyun is found. In this paper we discuss some possible traces of a (pronominal?) root *wV in other Australian languages. We find a stem *wa  in some Victorian languages and occasionally in some non-Pama-Nyungan languages. Forthermore it is claimed that the stem 2nsg *wu in some non-Pama-Nyungan languages can be deduced by lenition and initial dropping from *nuku > *nuwu > *wu.
