An optimized protocol for the extraction,purification and stabilization of RNA from challenging fungi

This fungal RNA extraction protocol was specifically designed to deal with challenging fungi (such as cryptoendolitic black yeasts and other highly pigmented fungi). The protocol is suited for different applications, as it has alternative routes for preserving integrity, concentration and purity.
