Description
This is a full version of the paper "Notes along the Silk Road: What Mineralogy Can Tell Us about Trust", published in the Summer Issue 2024 of The European Arhcaeologist. It presents the mineralogical study of the pigments from the mosaic tiles of the 14th-century mosque in Kinski Vody, Ukraine. This arhcaeological site is now under Russian occupation in Zaporizhzhya region. This study presents the first-ever mineralogical research of this material in Ukraine, drawing some gerenal conclusion about the trading network in the 14th century Golden Horde.
