Description

These 5 posters were part of the exhibition display for The Art of Ikat: A Cambodian Renaissance, an exhibition which took place from 22 February to 31 May 2024 at the Royal Danish Library / University of Copenhagen Library Søndre Campus, Karen Blixens Plads 7, 2300 Copenhagen S.

These posters were designed by Marie Flensbørg, a graphic designer at the University of Copenhagen.

Poster 1 is dedicated to the exhibition's main information and credits.
Poster 2 is the introduction panel to the exhibition.
Posters 3A-B-C are dedicated to each section of the exhibition: history and archives from the National Museum of Cambodia's textile collection; silk ikat textile practices and materials; textile and artistic responses to cultural and material loss by three guest Cambodian artists (Golden Silk Pheach, Linda Sok, and FONKi).

All the data shared on these texts was developed as part of TEX-KR, an EU-funded project (2022-24) which explores Cambodia's modern history of conflict (1970s-80s) through dress and textile practices, production, and material culture.
