This is an introduction to OPERAS (open access in the european research area through scholarly communication) and the two projects, OPERAS-D (design) and HIRMEOS (high integration of research monographs in the european open science infrastructure), that Pierre Mounier (OpenEdition) gave at the University Press Redux Conference 2018. It was delivered on 14 February 2018 at The Knowledge Centre at The British Library, London.
