The paper attempts a systematic synthesis about the relationship between Salvation and Election in the context of Catholic theology. It reminds that Christian Salvation is “integral” (Thesis 1), and then examines the two underlying aspects, that is, the immanent or intra-historical dimension (Thesis 2); but also, the specific and paradoxical character of the grace of ecclesial election (munus christianum) as a privilege and responsibility (Thesis 3). The eschatological aspect of the Salvation (Thesis 4). Finally, it faces the question of the Salvation of non-Christians, its possibility and its relationship with ecclesial election (Thesis 5).
